Every clinic is by appointment — ring 07395 650820 and say which one suits you. Can’t get out? She still comes to you.
How it works
Three steps, and none of them involve a waiting list
Ring and pick a clinic
Say which of the clinics suits you and roughly when. If getting out is difficult, ask for a home visit instead — that is still on offer and it is still the same appointment.
Come in, or she comes to you
At a clinic it is a chair, a good light and about as much fuss as an eye test. At home it is your own dining chair and a plug socket. Both ears get looked at before anything is done.
You are told what is there
If it is wax, it comes out at the same appointment. If it is not, you are told that instead of being sold a procedure you did not need.
What it is
Wax removed under magnification
Microsuction lifts wax out of the ear with a fine, low-pressure suction tube while the ear canal is looked at under magnification. No water is used and nothing is pushed further in.
It is the same procedure at a clinic as it is in your front room — the equipment is portable, which is what makes both possible. At a clinic you get a proper chair and a proper light and you are in and out. At home, you do not have to go anywhere at all.
Nothing is flushed into the ear
No water, no syringe and nothing pushed further in — the wax is lifted out under magnification while she watches what she is doing. Say if anything is uncomfortable at any point and she will stop.
Drops beforehand?
Softening the wax beforehand can sometimes help, but it isn’t always necessary.

Home visits
And if you cannot get out, she comes to you
This started as a mobile service and it still is one. For anybody who does not drive, cannot easily leave the house, or is arranging this for a parent, the whole set-up travels: a dining chair with room to stand beside it and a plug socket is all it takes.

Questions
The things people ring and ask
Does it hurt?
It should not be painful, but it is loud — the suction is working right next to the eardrum. Say if anything is uncomfortable at any point and she will stop.
Do I need to use drops beforehand?
Softening the wax beforehand can sometimes help, but it isn’t always necessary.
Can you come to the house?
Yes — that is the main thing this service is. The equipment is portable and the appointment happens at your own table.
Can I book for my mam or dad?
Yes, and plenty of appointments are booked that way. Ring or message with their name and address and whether you will be there too.
Do you cover my village?
The towns covered are listed on the areas page. If yours is not on it, ring and ask rather than assuming — the list is the usual patch, not a hard boundary.
