Hearing aids are a considered purchase and not a small one. There is an NHS route as well as a private one, and which makes sense depends on you.
Ring and ask what is involved before committing to anything.
If an ear is painful, discharging, or the hearing dropped suddenly rather than gradually, speak to your GP or NHS 111 first. That is not a wax appointment.
