Hearing Tests
A check of how you are hearing, once the ears are clear enough to test properly.
Wax has to come out before a hearing test means anything — a blocked ear will fail a test for reasons that have nothing to do with your hearing.
A test tells you what you can and cannot hear across the range of pitches, and gives you something to compare against in a few years.
If a test suggests something that needs following up medically, that goes to your GP.
If an ear is painful, discharging, or the hearing dropped suddenly rather than gradually, speak to your GP or NHS 111 first. That is not a wax appointment.
